Network Computers (otherwise known as NCs) may well have an
important role to play in the future of both home and office
computing. NCs are relatively cheap computers because they include
fewer or no peripherals for data storage. This means that a typical
Network Computer will have no hard disk drive, and no CD-ROM drive.
So where will these computers store their information? The answer
is on the Internet. When a user creates a document it is saved into
a special workspace on the Internet. Other users who also have
access to this workspace may be able to load and modify the same
file.
